Meet our Assistant Principal

Mr. Wynn (Coach Wynn)

Assistant Principal

A Message from our new Assistant Principal, Mr. or Coach Wynn…

My name is Trey Wynn and I am a native of Benton, LA. I graduated from High School at C.E. Byrd High School and college at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX.

I earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME.

The previous 17 years of my teaching career have also been paralleled with with my coaching career.  I have spent every year working hard to bring successful sports programs to my previous schools.  Hard work and dedication to excellence has made me very successful in those capacities.  So, being called Mr. Wynn instead of Coach Wynn will be very different for me.   During my 17 year career, I have taught P.E., American History, LA History, and World History.

I am a husband and father of two girls. Donielle has given me the honor of being called her husband for 18 wonderful years. My oldest daughter, Abbie, is 17 and will be a Junior at Benton High School.  She currently plays on the Girls Basketball Team and throws the Javelin for the Track and Field Team.  My youngest daughter, Emma, is 12 and will be home-schooled this year as she continues her very exciting acting career.  Emma has been featured on a television series and is currently auditioning for others.

We actively worship and serve at First Bossier on Texas Street.  My wife and I teach 7th grade boys and girls youth Sunday School.

One of my favorite things to do in the Fall and Winter is watching football and hunting.  I also spend many hours playing Tennis.  Another passion of mine over the summer is my love for Disney.  I can’t really explain it but I love going to the parks with my family and enjoy the memories we have made there.  Being with my family, no matter where it is, is where I want to be.  I consider it a calling by God to serve as an educator in the Bossier Parish School System.  This is truly a blessing to serve the students, parents and community of Elm Grove Elementary.
